Crochet Roll 'Shards' Update

I think these pictures are much better than the previous post pictures...mostly because I finished the Crochet Roll!

I think it turned out great.  More importantly,  my customer was thrilled!

Sigh of relief!

  1. So this is what you are doing instead of answering my text messages! I see how it is. Well, at any rate, I love it. I really think you're on to something with that herringbone patchwork!

  5. It's so lovely! With all those little pieces did you use a light fusible backing? Most of my pieced projects are quilts and I guess I just never trust a seam that hasn't been stitched over now! haha

    1. I used a lightweight interfacing on the lining. I'm confident the seams will stay intact!

  6. This is a great idea! I made something similar (but oh, so very plain) to this for my son's paintbrushes several years ago. It never occurred to me to do it for my crochet hooks---or my knitting needles! Thanks so much for the inspiration!

    1. There are so many things to put in something like this! I've made them for pencils, crochet needles, knitting needles, paint brushes!

  8. This looks great, very effect use of solid "shards".

  9. Quite creative and wonderful. Love the design on the crochet hook roll. It such a nice size. I made a knitting needle roll out of decorator fabric. It is large in size but at least it keeps all my needles together. Great job! Now you can breathe knowing that your customer was enthralled.

    1. Thank you so much! It seems to be the perfect size. And yes, how nice to keep needles and hooks all together!
