It's like it's this streamlined aesthetic, modern quilt that is looking over it's shoulder and acknowledging its connection to the more elaborate aesthetic traditions of the past. Also I am realizing that on some level your color scheme here must have subconsciously influenced the palette I ended up with for my Spirit Song Birds In the Air quilt that I've been piecing lately, because I NEVER work in these colors and although I'd forgotten this Walking On Sunshine quilt of yours, I know I saw and admired it months ago when you first shared it. I've got a UFO of my own that I'm hoping to get quilted, or at least loaded and partly quilted before the end of the year. I have to continually tell myself "round like a circle" and somehow that works; I make arcs and then change the direction of the arcs. I don't know if it actually is the way it's supposed to go but I like the look of my stippling better now as a result.

Congratulations on the finish and for doing it yourself. Your quilting looks beautiful - how fun that you switched it up for a few of the circles. Matching those circle points - wowee . - they look superb. I'm a huge fan of straight line quilting - the combination you did really just pushes the whole look way over the top.
