A Stash To Die For.

Honestly...I'm so done with buying fabric.  That is after I get my other two orders, then I'm done!  It is very hard to resist sometimes.  Either its a killer deal, coupons, newest sensation or a girl just has to have what a girl has to have!

In this case it was a killer deal and this girl just had to have!!!

It is entirely possible that I am the last person in the quilting world to buy Alison Glass anything.  Because Handcrafted 2 is ready to hit the market, it must mean I should finally get the first Handcrafted batch.  And what a beauty they are!  Why the hell did I wait so long??  (Sorry Mom)

You know what this is right?  Alison Glass Sun Print Remix.  A couple fat quarters each of Mercury, Feathers, Bike Path, Grove and of course, Ink.  Should I share that I'm drooling?

heavy metal fabric

This was just on a 'whim', get it while its hot bundle!!  Heavy Metal by Whistler Studios, Windham Fabrics.  Let's talk fun, bright and rich colors, add to that some gold, silver and bronze metallic dots!   Ya....can't go wrong!

I did have a moment of joy when I paired these four colors together.  You know they just made me smile...and then my daughter saw them...she out & out said she didn't like those colors together!    I didn't exactly say they were going to be my next ~ drop everything ~ gotta quilt this project.  Just a sorbet moment!

In a never ending effort to become a contender (I coulda been) in the Low Volume stash, I pumped or plumped it up with a Fat Eighth bundle.

All four bundles were purchased at Pink Castle Fabrics.  I have nothing but good things to say about this shop!  They ship faster than a speeding bullet!

Playing with fabric is almost as much fun as buying it!  Couldn't resist snapping a picture I can forever admire long after its all gone!

I have a couple more orders in the mail, but believe me they are ~*~ boring ~*~ compared to this haul!

  1. These are some great fabrics! My favorites are the heavy metals, I don't think that I have seen those before. They are great blenders with a pop of shine.

    1. I thought they would be a fun mix to work with. I usually don't go for metallic in fabric, but thought these would be a nice change!

  2. Lovely Jayne! I haven't seen the heavy metals yet either. I really like them. Nice selection!

    1. In a never ending struggle to improv my stash, all of these fabrics seemed to be in my wheel house! The Heavy Metals seemed like a fun way to try a metallic fabric without being too much. Plus the colors are amazing!

  3. I love your bundles. Alison Glass has such great designs, and I love low volume too. I can see why the temptation was overwhelming.

    1. She does have some great fabrics! These are my first Alison Glass pieces (I'm always behind the band wagon), and I know they won't be my last! I think I have sufficiently pumped up my stash for a while!

  4. So much fabric-y goodness here. Especially that low volume. I dig Alison Glass' prints, but the Handcrafted doesn't make me quite as happy as the older lines. And technically, you've already bought the fabric that's en route to you, so you've already stopped buying fabric. :)

    1. It might be fabric overload! I have only recently decided to build my 'print' stash and sad to say this purchase was my first Alison Glass. I need to check out some of her older lines, thank you for that!

  5. I'd say your stash is in pretty good shape now. Low Volume fabrics are a favourite and I've also never seen the metals. I have that top bundle of Allison Glass and now I want the newer one as well!

    1. I think it is Lisa! I am done, done, done! I can go months without buying fabric and then the floodgates open and I have to have a fix!! I am so surprised that so many have never seen the Heavy Metal Fabrics! Maybe I'm ahead of the game for once!

  7. I can tell you you are not the last person to buy AG fabrics, I have none. However I have fallen in love with a couple of quilts made using the handcrafted fabrics, and think I may have just succumbed to needing to order some.
    Enjoy using yours.

  8. I love the strong colours of AG's fabrics, do you have any plans for these yet? And your low volumes are beautiful and so subtle! I reckon you've got a good haul there, not bad for someone trying to stop :) I'm visiting over from Molli Sparkles, nice to meet you.

    1. My plans are to stare at it's beauty for the next six months! Not exactly my plan, but it's what will most likely happen!!

  9. I love Pink Castle fabrics too! They always have wonderful selections, and you're right about the shipping.

Yes, you must be the last girl to end up with Alison Glass anything! I've had some of her stuff in my stash for the better part of two years, and I'm finally finding reasons to use it. I placed a huge order through her website almost two months ago, but as I included the Hand Crafted II bundle in there, I have to wait for that to arrive. It's been so painful!

    1. Honestly I'm kicking myself for not getting my 'Alison Glass' on sooner! I always get in on the latest and greatest last! The next challenge is what to make with it! Right now, just staring at it is good enough
