Feed Sack Pot Holders 8 1/4" x 8 1/4" |
This set of pot holders are made up of 4" squares. I randomly stitched strips until it was 5" or so and trimmed to the desired size. The more feed sack prints and colors, the better!
Feed Sack Pot Holders 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" |
The strip squares are 3" separated with a 3/4" white sashing and finished with a 1" border.
They bring me back to my Grandma's kitchen! You know...the good old days!
Last set, I promise!!

I don't think I'm the only one who has to work there way through a stack of fabric until every piece is gone. Am I?! I might be a little obsessive sometimes!

Deletevery cute and bright - I really need to get some of the batting needed for these and make some up - mine really look bad right now and are just the regular store bought kind

ReplyDeleteA great scrap and gift project. No I am not one of the group. My scraps accumulate. Occasionally I cut them into usable squares and rectangles, and even less occasionally I start to combine them. Claire aka knitnkwilt

Gah, these are the perfect potholders! I am becoming more and more enamored of this feedsack/DS look. I wonder why? Anyways, I must pin.
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable!! Thanks!
ReplyDeletePretty and practical.....a winning combination.
ReplyDeleteI love 'em............Really cute. I will have to make some ! Heaven knows I have plenty scraps !!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your scrappy potholders. They are so pretty and cheerful...and I agree they do kind of transport you back to the good old days.
ReplyDeleteI don't throw away anything. Scraps big enough to cut into shapes that I use for scrap patterns get saved to be cut down. Scraps too small for that get added to the crumb block box. Those too small for that get added to a bin in the closet that I'll use to stuff cat pillows one of these days. Nothing goes to waste. :)
