Needle Books

I have a couple people who I adore - who I try and send a little handmade goodness to every Christmas. This year I was trying to come up with an idea, something different than the usual. I had initially decided on coin purses.  I made some cute little 'thread spools' for the focal point, but alas...it didn't sit well with me!

In the end I decided on Needle Books!  Cute little, fun little, pretty little needle books!

Thread Spool
I used some wool felt that my daughter has stored at my home.  Plus...I did dip into her fabric scraps for the inside detail!  I'm pretty sure she is okay with it, then again what can she do now?!
Outside.
The design is simple.  The construction is basic.  All raw edges.  Rotary cutter with a wave blade.   A decorative stitch and zig-zag.    
Inside.
Middle. 
Back with a little pocket!
Approx. 3 1/2" x 4"
As you can see, I put a snap on the blue one.  I decided it wasn't really necessary.  They are just fine without it!  Hope these special ladies like this little gift!

I was thinking this should be my first ever tutorial!  What do you think?  Anyone interested?

    Yes do a tutorial! These are just too cute. I like them with snaps as a closure.

    So cute! Please do a tutorial. I have no access to wool felt--do you think they could be made from regular felt too?

      You certainly could use regular felt! Wool felt is softer, but regular felt will work too! I will make a tutorial then! Thank you!

    I need to make one to fit in my Dad's old card case. I bought it and had it engraved when I was very young, he's passed away and I'd like to use it to store my pins. I think your version would work perfectly!
