The bag runneth over! It was like Santa's bag, full of delightful goodies for all the good little girls (well for me)!
Naturally I had to have some basic neutrals. You got your Ivory, Ash, Silver and Pepper. I'm excited about using the Pepper. It will be my first...
And a little of this and that!
Row #1: Ice Frappe, Aloe, Baby Blue
Row #2: Salmon, Geranium, Pomegranate
Row #3: Cardinal, Peapod, Curry
A very nice mix and certainly worth having on hand, for one day I shall make me a quilt...
It kind of makes me want to sing, but I will spare me and you of that craziness!
You know how it is, you have add a few extras. All needed. All useful, and needed, and important!
Auriful thread is not going to spoil, ever! So, I popped a Pewter (2630), Aluminum (2615), Ermine (2312) and Chalk (2026) in the cart. Needles are useful...and a bottle of Synthrapol because I'm almost out.
Hazel, you have always made me smile! This, I couldn't pass up either! Yep, I'm one of the last to own a Hazel!
Today was also our Guild Holiday Party. ( more about that later) We always have a Dirty Santa fabric swap that has been known to get down right dirty at times. This year it was much more civilized. I'm not sure why. I think everyone left happy!
I was lucky enough to end up with this bundle! Roar! I look forward to cutting and creating soon!
A good day, a good haul, a good deal! I'm as content as can be!

I love the way Pile O' Fabric labels each fabric so you can remember what to reorder!

I do too Teresa! It makes it so much easier!
DeleteYour hauls make me roar in approval with you! :-) Love that lion fabric. And yep, can never have too many Kona solids...
ReplyDeleteAt my age the thrill of new fabric is about all I can stand!
DeleteYou did well at the guild party, I think I got a Christmas mug and cocoa last year. And you scored with Pile O'Fabric!
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun at the holiday party and to come out of it with great fabric is wonderful!
DeleteGreat choices on those color choices. I don't think you can have too many!
ReplyDeleteI keep telling myself that, but the fact is I have got to get busy and use what I have! I never thought of myself as a hoarder…I'm beginning to rethink that notion!
DeleteKona Ash & Aurifil Pewter are my " go to" basic cotton & thread! Miss you Jayne!
ReplyDeleteI see you guys had the guild Secret Santa - I scored last year with your feathers! 😘
I miss you too Kate and especially at the guild meetings!! I am glad you still like your secret santa gift from last year! I know I loved making it for you!
DeleteWhat a great grouping of solids. My solids bins are literally overfull at the moment, but I only have 2 of them. I think it might be time to rethink how I organize that part of my stash as I am clearly using more and more solids as time goes on.
ReplyDeleteTwo bins is nothing! And if they are over flowing you need to get another bin. That way it doesn't seem as if you have too much! You gotta trick your mind! It seems like I am forever organizing and reorganizing my fabric! I have yet to find the perfect solution!
DeleteHi Jayne! Oh how gorgeus colours! I know you will create something special with these! x Teje
ReplyDeleteI better make something with these…I am over flowing! My problem is they are all so gorgeous I just like to look at them! Thanks for the vote of confidence Teje!
DeleteOh wow! such great stashing, I wish I could do that here in the UK, I ordered a metre of snow and torch yesterday for a project but there are too many Kona colours to stash more! Have fun with Hazel.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about too many colors! I have to go and find out what color Torch is now…Kona has a hold on me! I was in the mood last night and made my first Hazel! She is so adorable and fun to make! I'm looking forward to making more!
DeleteI wish I would have had more time. I didn't get a chance to think about it long enough. I am just happy Alyssa felt up to doing a sale like that. Best wishes to her.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm happy that Alyssa was up to having a sale and what a sale it was! Anytime you can get Kona for under $4 a yard…it's very hard to pass up! I do hope Alyssa gets back to some sort of normalcy and her health improves. She is missed!
DeleteKona for the win!! Great colours. I only just got Hazel, so we're the last two. LOL
ReplyDeleteWhew! And I thought I was the only one! I made my first one last night…super fun, super easy and OMG…adorable to boot!
DeleteHoly smokes! That is quite an addition to your stash. I am definitely crushing on those Konas. Oh how I love me some Konas. But I resisted the Black Friday sales.... I have pledged to sew my stash. Come hell or highwater. At least I know where I can find some more Kona if I really, really need it...
ReplyDeleteI ordered a bunch of Aurifil in Black Friday too. I've broken into a few new colours already. I still don't own the Hazel either, but I have long been admiring it!
